The Project is an Element of Phase Three of Renovations Throughout The Venue

The St. Louis Blues announced today they will begin renovations of the escalators located throughout Enterprise Center, all of which are original to the building’s construction. Alternate Routes
Enterprise Center will open all 12 stairwells throughout the building to serve as alternatives to escalator use. Escalators undergoing construction and all stairwells will be identified with appropriate signage. Enterprise Center will also install blade signs – similar to directional signage currently found throughout the building – that will clearly indicate the location of a stairwell and where it leads. As always, members of the Enterprise Center Guest Services Staff will be on hand at all venue events to help mitigate any issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do the construction now? Why not wait until the end of the season?

The escalators are located in high-traffic areas and their functionality is essential to not only our guest experience, but also to the safety and welfare of our patrons. The renovation work requires a significant amount of time. In addition, in order to effectively move guests throughout the facility, the work will need to move from one escalator to another.

Are the escalators currently a danger?

The escalators are safe, but they are aging. The maintenance and repair work on them has become extensive to the point that renovations are needed.

How long will the escalators be down?

The escalators will be renovated in three separate phases in order to minimize the disruption in traveling about the building. Phase one will include one escalator outside both Portal 5 and Portal 17 (the other escalator, at each location, will remain in use) and will last from Mar. 18 to June. 17. Phase 2 will involve the escalator leading to the Bud Light Sports Pub (outside Portals 25 and 26) and the second escalator outside Portal 5 (renovated escalator at this location will re-open) and will take place from June 18 to Sept. 19. The third and final phase will address the escalator leading to the West Garage (located outside Portal 12) and the second escalator outside Portal 17 (renovated escalator at this location will re-open) and stretch from Sept. 19 to Dec. 31.

How do we get to our seats during the renovations?

Enterprise Center will open all 12 stairwells throughout the building as alternate routes. All stairwells and areas under renovation will be identified by clear and concise signage. Enterprise Center will also install blade signs – similar to directional signage currently found throughout the building – that will clearly indicate the location of a stairwell. As always, members of the Enterprise Center Guest Services Staff will be on hand at all events to help mitigate any issues.

How will disabled guests be affected?

For disabled guests that are unable to use the stairs, the two passenger elevators, located at Portal 2 (to Club Level) and Portal 29 (to Mezzanine Level), will continue to be open for utilization. Enterprise Center will also install signs at each escalator closing, directing disabled guests to the location of the passenger elevators. Throughout the renovation process, the majority of the escalators will remain operational in order to minimize any inconvenience.

When will the construction be complete?

The full scope of the project, Phases one through three, will be completed by Dec. 31, 2019.

What can we expect when the renovations are completed?
